Binance’s innovative tokenized U.S. securities offering has officially surpassed $1 billion in assets under management (AUM), accomplishing the feat in roughly four months and establishing itself as the first tokenized equity product in digital asset history to reach this landmark valuation.
The announcement, made public by Binance on October 15, marks a watershed moment for the intersection of traditional finance and blockchain infrastructure. According to verified onchain data provided by Dune Research, the product—widely known as Bstocks—achieved the milestone at a pace that outpaces any competing tokenized equity vehicle launched to date, highlighting a rapidly accelerating global appetite for digital representations of traditional market instruments.
Rapid Growth and Parity Conversions
When Binance initially introduced the product on June 11, it rolled out the platform with a modest catalog of just five assets. Since that launch, the platform has scaled aggressively, expanding its catalog to nearly 100 distinct Bstocks tokens to meet sustained global demand. Cumulative trading volume across the four-month period has climbed past $40 billion, maintaining a robust average of over $300 million in daily trading activity. Furthermore, market participants have actively engaged in the ecosystem’s flexibility, converting an impressive $6 billion between direct stock positions and Bstocks at a seamless 1:1 parity.
Shunyet Jan, the head of exchange and trading at Binance, emphasized that reaching arbitrary valuation milestones is secondary to proving the day-to-day utility of the underlying technology. According to Jan, the true test of a tokenized stock is whether it continues to function as an active, liquid market long after the initial excitement of its launch day fades into the background.
"Bstocks trade around the clock, get used as collateral, move between self-custodial wallets, and convert 1:1 into direct stock holdings," Jan noted in a statement. "Today, more than a billion dollars of that is held on Binance, and it’s being used, not just held."
Detailed evaluations of investor behavior underscore that holders are not merely storing these assets; rather, they are deliberately weaving Bstocks into broader, more complex financial strategies. By early October, the deployment of Bstocks across various decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms scaled to reach 11.2% of the total value locked (TVL) within those protocols. This metric demonstrates that Bstocks are outperforming comparable tokenized equities by nearly 4% in terms of decentralized utility and ecosystem integration.
Expanding Retail Collateral and Utility
Alongside the explosive expansion in assets under management, the capital efficiency associated with Bstocks has increased substantially. Onchain metrics indicate that outstanding borrowing against deposited Bstocks collateral climbed an astonishing 8.4-fold, reaching 46.2% by September 10, compared to a modest 5.5% at the close of June. Additional internal platform data from the end of July further illustrates the interconnected nature of the user base, revealing that 58.5% of early Bstocks investors also actively traded perpetual futures or direct equities on Binance. This overlap indicates that adoption is heavily compounding upon existing market infrastructure and established retail habits.
The remarkable trajectory of Bstocks mirrors a broader, industry-wide surge in tokenization and an insatiable global demand for round-the-clock market access. Traditional equity markets operate within strict geographic and temporal boundaries, but the appetite for continuous trading has dismantled those traditional constraints. During the month of July, for instance, only 38% of Binance Bstocks trading volume occurred during standard U.S. market hours, contrasting sharply with conventional equities, where nearly 90% of trading volume remains confined to traditional opening bells.
Industry-wide onchain transfers of tokenized stocks experienced a staggering upward trajectory, exceeding $100 billion in the third quarter of 2026. This figure represents a 16-fold increase from the $6 billion recorded during the first quarter of the year. During this broader market expansion, Bstocks consistently dominated activity, representing over 90% of weekly transfer volume at its peak during early August.
As a result of this compounding adoption, tokenized equities have firmly cemented their position as the fastest-growing real-world asset (RWA) category of 2026. The total market capitalization of the sector quadrupled over the course of the year, surging past $3 billion by late September. To further capitalize on this momentum and enhance structural utility, Binance recently extended comprehensive collateral support to all eligible retail users across the platform.
Under the updated framework, retail traders can now utilize supported Bstocks tokens seamlessly as margin and futures collateral. This functionality empowers users to borrow quote assets for up to 5x leverage, or alternatively, deploy the tokens simultaneously to maintain direct market exposure while hedging existing positions.
