U.S. spot XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs) experienced a complete freeze in net capital accumulation over the course of a recent trading week, failing to record a single day of positive net inflows. The stagnation began with a modest $529,500 net outflow on Monday, followed by four consecutive flat trading sessions characterized by zero net movement across the entire suite of regulated funds.
Data compiled by Sosovalue highlights that Canary’s XRP ETF (XRPC) was the sole fund to register activity on Monday, November 2, logging the aforementioned $529,500 withdrawal. Following this initial exit, market participation came to an abrupt standstill, with platforms tracking daily fund metrics reporting absolute neutrality on November 3, 4, 5, and 6.
Despite the lack of weekly inflows, the cumulative historical performance of U.S. spot XRP ETFs remains robust, maintaining a total net inflow figure of $1.81 billion. However, total net assets under management experienced a noticeable contraction, sliding to $1.34 billion compared to the $1.425 billion reported at the start of the week. This drop places total ETF-held assets at approximately 1.82% of XRP’s overall market capitalization. Financial analysts point out that this reduction in total asset value is directly reflective of broader downward pressure on XRP’s spot market price rather than an indicator of heavy investor redemptions or panic selling among ETF shareholders.
From 12 Straight Weeks to Zero
This recent stagnation represents a sharp and sudden reversal of fortune for investment vehicles that were enjoying steady, predictable institutional demand just a few weeks prior. Earlier in October, market reports highlighted that XRP exchange-traded funds had achieved an impressive milestone of 12 consecutive weeks of positive net inflows. This followed a resilient September that brought in $121 million in fresh institutional capital.
As October drew to a close, however, market momentum visibly faded. By the final week of the month, weekly net inflows had slowed to a mere $18.8 million, paving the way for the complete dry-up observed at the beginning of November.
Even with the recent lack of momentum, XRP-linked investment products have managed to hold their ground better than several comparable altcoin vehicles in the digital asset ecosystem. On November 6, competing products faced significant capital flight, with U.S. spot Solana (SOL) ETFs shedding $25.08 million and Hyperliquid (HYPE) spot ETFs losing $7.96 million. Meanwhile, Zcash (ZEC) funds stood out as the sole altcoin products capable of attracting fresh capital during the period.
The broader cryptocurrency market experienced an even more turbulent week, particularly within flagship digital assets. U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs endured a punishing wave of liquidations and capital exits, logging $1.28 billion in net outflows across the week. Market commentators noted that this marked the largest weekly exit for spot bitcoin products in 19 weeks, underscoring a wider risk-off sentiment sweeping through institutional portfolios.
Whales Move While ETF Buyers Wait
While institutional interest via regulated exchange-traded products took a temporary pause, onchain activity revealed a significantly more active and aggressive landscape among high-net-worth market participants and independent whales. Onchain data showed that on November 4, a staggering 418.5 million XRP were withdrawn from the Binance exchange. This massive movement marked Binance’s largest single-day exchange outflow in nine months.
To put the scale of this withdrawal into perspective, it comfortably surpassed the 315 million XRP that left the platform on October 29, a date that coincided with a major $6.3 billion security breach and hack on the exchange. Analysts noted that continuous heavy drains of this magnitude have pushed the Binance XRP scarcity index to a four-year high, drastically reducing the volume of readily tradable tokens available on the platform’s order books.
Concurrently, large holders appear to be expanding their positions, with the total number of XRP millionaire wallets climbing to a 2026 high despite the prevailing price weakness. Illustrating this accumulation trend, a single large-scale wallet transferred 140.35 million XRP—worth approximately $167.8 million—to an unlabelled, private address.
Market observers note that while substantial exchange outflows effectively shrink the immediate liquid supply available for open-market selling, they do not automatically trigger a bullish price rally. Furthermore, a portion of these large transfers may represent internal wallet reorganization by custodial services or the exchange itself. Nevertheless, the divergence between stagnant institutional inflows and aggressive private accumulation has created a split market dynamic. While large private holders pull tokens into cold storage, the regulated products that served as a primary engine of steady capital inflow for most of the year have paused their expansion. Until one side of this equation shifts, XRP’s short-term price action is widely expected to remain under sustained pressure.
The Price Picture
Against this backdrop of shifting institutional capital and aggressive whale accumulation, XRP’s spot price has continued to fluctuate within a delicate technical range. The asset trades near $1.16, marking a decline of roughly 7% over the course of the week and sitting down about 50% compared to valuations from the same period last year.
Technical analysts monitoring the charts have identified the $1.21 level as a critical threshold of historical support. Market strategists have repeatedly emphasized that XRP needs to reclaim and clear the $1.34 price point to establish a convincing market bottom and invalidate ongoing bearish momentum. With the asset currently hovering below both levels, attention among charting analysts has shifted toward the next major support zone resting near $1.11.
